Greece: Luxury and Charm Wrapped Up in a Bow

Hello again, and thanks for joining me for another update!

Leaving Sicily was hard, as we had bonded so much with our hosts there, so the goodbyes were very tearful.

However, we were very excited to get to our next destination — Greece!

Though there are many different beautiful places in Greece to visit, we spent the month on Rhodes Island, which is a Greek island off the coast of Turkey.

This island has all of the beauty that the more well-known (thus more expensive) islands like Santorini and Mykonos have to offer, but at a far more affordable price for two travelers like us on a budget.

And after all of our intensive tourism from our adventures in Italy, Brady and I knew that we wanted to go somewhere that was a little more low-key so that we could get a more authentic cultural experience when it came to Greece.

The first two weeks we spent in Faliraki at this gorgeous apartment a 5-minute walk from the beach which really was the most luxurious apartment we stayed in so far.

Just a tip, this is one of the reasons why it’s a great idea to book your AirBnbs a year in advance. When we booked this spot, it didn’t have as many reviews as other places did, but we took a chance on it because the reviews were still glowing.

We ended up getting a stunning two-bedroom apartment with two verandas, four e-scooters included, and a hot tub on the back porch. Had we booked the apartment a year later, it would have been three times the price. We really lucked out!
